What we have done the last two weeks is honestly not a lot. With my (Cole's) Senior project rough cut being due March 14, I put a little of a grind into pushing back work for the Month Late Show. But fear not, we still accomplished things on out checklist such as: Where and when will we film (Coles house-end of march); What will we talk about? ( Politics and environment effects on local students) and finally how we will film it (by Cole's iPhone and his moms spare).
What we have learned about our selves is that we like to procrastinate a little bit and that should change and is. Our setbacks are being involved in lacrosse and baseball and not having a lot of time to do projects. We plan to handle them through grinding out on the weekends and especially during spring break
Next steps in our process is to film and edit. We can apply stuff that we have done in our school and community by asking local high schoolers on their thoughts about politics and environmental issues.
Hey Cole and Chris, I completely understand your issue with time. Although not a twenty time project, my media arts class also requires some attention outside of the classroom. With half of our team in lacrosse and the other half in swim, we have a very small time gap to film. In the end we have had to make compromises and miss our practices in order to get more time to film. So I guess what I am suggesting is to miss one practice during the week, but to get all the filming done then and maybe pass around the file during the week so you can each individually edit a portion.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate the honesty and I think its so important that you realize you need to pick up the ball a bit. I think the idea is creative, and it may help and motivate you if you get others to participate. Perhaps some friends would want to help out and this could make it more fun as well as interesting. Just an idea. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

ReplyDeleteHi guys! I can relate to your shortage of time as I feel it as well for many other projects. I'm glad that although you haven't been able to do much so far, you do have a clear plan set out for the upcoming weeks! Good luck with the rest of your project. :)
